Read directions carefully as you will be able to pick and choose a few elements on your own. Make sure to review the Evaluation section to see the rubric and utilize it as a checklist to make sure that all of the elements are complete. Finally, if there are any questions or concerns please contact me as early on as possible so as not to hinder the virtual fieldtrip process.
Below are all the small steps outlined for you with specifications of what they mean. We are referencing the 'W' question words to come to a well-rounded goal. Luckily for you, 'Who' is already answered! This vacation is completely your own, make it something that you find interesting.

Where to go (and Why)
Whether your snorkeling in Mexico, climbing ruins in Peru, or chasing Bulls in Spain, Latin America has so much to offer an experienced tourist or a wayward traveler. I like this link to Spanish Speaking Countries because it distinguishes countries in the Carribean, the Americas, and Elsewhere. Look it over and spend a few minutes locating the countries on a map and researching some interesting things to do while your there. We are going to take a break from finding basic facts and statistics because, let's face it, nobody is going to travel based on a country's population size or its greatest export. Think of this exericise like you are really planning a trip. Also, include a map of your country in your virtual fieldtrip so that we know where we are going.
When to go
Are the seasons backwards? Or are there wet seasons and dry seasons? What is the weather like today? Although this may not be the most interesting part to plan it is a huge factor when you want to travel. Include this information as one of the themes on your planning sheet.
What to see and do
Be creative! What do you love about the place that you are researching? Why did you chose it? Here is how you tell us:
-Find photos/videos that show us how interesting and beautiful the place you are going is. Don't just google image a photo of a beach, tell us which beach it is and where it is located. For example, the ruins of Tikal are in Guatemala and the ruins of Palenque are in Mexico. Distinguish the photos by telling us what they are photos of.
-Dig a little to find out where you need to go to do what you love. Whether it is extreme sports, celebrating festivals, being near water, being high up, or in a hot climate or a cold one...
-Find 2 or 3 more cultural aspects that you can include. Maybe there is a prominant Mayan population in the area, or a popular salsa band, or an authentic dish that everyone eats and you can include the recipe. Think of the standard cultural criteria: religion, food, music, homelife, climate, location, etc and expand on a few of those concepts.
Please Remember...
The themes that you choose to fill out on your planning sheet is the content that you are finding photos/videos/information about and including in the presentation of your virtual field trip. The next step includes many resources that will help you find great information for you themes!
